01Discipline

What we do.

01

Physical only.

We buy cargoes and lots, not positions. Every trade has an origin, a vessel or a warehouse, and a delivery point.

02

Financed by us.

We finance the trades we make and, selectively, the trades of counterparties we know: prepayment, letters of credit, inventory and receivables.

03

Delivered as agreed.

Grade, quantity, place and date, as contracted. Documentation that a bank can read.

04The cycle

One cargo, end to end.

Trading and financing are one process. This is what happens between a producer and a buyer when DMJ is in the middle.

Stage 01 / 06 — Sourced

01

Sourced

A producer, refiner or smelter we know. Grade and quantity agreed against a recognised specification.

02

Financed

DMJ structures the funding: prepayment to the seller, a letter of credit through a partner bank, or our own balance sheet.

03

Loaded

Independent inspection at the load port. Quantity and quality certified before title moves.

04

Shipped

Vessel or rail nominated, insured and tracked. Documents follow the cargo.

05

Delivered

Discharge and inspection at destination. The buyer receives what was contracted.

06

Settled

Payment against documents. The trade closes. The relationship continues.

05Notes

From the desks.

21 August 2026
Crude oil

Atlantic basin sour grades find a home east of Suez

Wider Brent–Dubai has pulled West African and Mediterranean sour barrels toward Indian and Chinese refiners, lengthening voyage days and firming Suezmax rates on the Med–West coast India run.

12 August 2026
Energy products

Northwest European gasoil holds a backwardated curve

ARA gasoil stocks sit below the five-year average into the autumn maintenance window, keeping prompt CIF NWE cargoes bid against barge differentials.

5 August 2026
Aluminium

Duty-unpaid Rotterdam premiums drift as alumina softens

European duty-unpaid premiums eased toward the low $200s/mt while Australian alumina slipped below $420/mt, narrowing smelter margins outside long-term power contracts.
